Hey liberals please explain away this tidbit about Barry's education ! Whea ! he is a real American !?

Hey liberals please explain away this tidbit about Barry's education ! Whea ! he is a real American !?
This registration document, made available on Jan. 24, 2007, by the Fransiskus Assisi school in Jakarta, Indonesia, shows the registration of Barack Obama under the name Barry Soetoro made by his step-father, Lolo Soetoro. Name: Barry Soetoro Religion: Islam Nationality: Indonesian How did this little INDONESIAN Muslim child - Barry Soetoro, (A.K.A. Barack Obama) get around the issue of nationality to become President of the United States of America ? PART 2: In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama's qualifications for the presidency, the group "Americans for Freedom of Information" has released copies of President Obama's college transcripts from Occidental College ... The transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia while an undergraduate at the school.. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California. The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify for this scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship. This document provides the smoking gun that many of Obama's detractors have been seeking - that he is NOT a natural-born citizen of the United States - necessary to be President of the United States . Along with the evidence that he was first born in Kenya , here we see that there is no record of him ever applying for US citizenship.. Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation of Obama's campaign spending. This study estimates that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records. Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still on-going but that the final report will be provided to the U.S.. attorney general, Eric Holder. Mr. Holder has refused comment on this matter. Sorry I couldn't include the copy of the actual document and the picture of the happy family ! I do have it in my emails if anyone wants to really see it ! keep it in my head it is partof a court action it is public record now ! Try to igonre ! It isn't going away! mumtuz why are you here , you use that answer for every real question on here ! too hot in the kitchen for you ? tribeca oh please this is how he went to college ! It has been releasedas a court document under orders from the court ! Can liberal not read or they just won't this is a court ordered release of his records !

This question is to stupid to be taken seriously by any thinking person.

Conservatives on public education: That won't get you anywhere. Conservatives on private education: Damn elitist liberals!
4 :
This is exactly why 0bama has spent millions keeping his school, tuition assistance, medical and original birth documents sealed.
5 :
Too often this stuff come up phony. Can you at least post links - if true this will redeine 'viral'.
6 :
Oh please. How old was he at the time? Parents cannot renounce U.S. citizenship on behalf of their minor children.
7 :
LOL...Birthers. I don't have to explain a damn thing...Obama is President of the USA and he will be President until 2016. Don't like it? Well guess what...nuthing you can do about it little Yahoo Answers poster. This is like the christians trying to put the burden of proof for their little god on people who never have and never will believe in their non-existent god. Now....you should get some sleep, I am sure you need to be up bright and early in the morning to go scour the woods for Bigfoot poop....or do you want ME to prove to YOU that searching for Bigfoot poop is a waste of time?...nahhhh not gonna happen birther.
8 :
Now the question that remains to be answered is, how will Holder react? Will he do his job as the US Attorney General or will he cow to the wishes of 0bama?
9 :
Please post any links you have. Or email me.... same as my YA name. I had heard Obama sealed all his educational records. Where did you hear Occidental College actually released them? I had heard rumors early last year that Obama had applied as a foreign student there. What a lot of people don't realize is this: even if there is no proof that Obama was born in Kenya, that still doesn't put him in the clear. His mother married Mr. Soetero in Indonesia, and according to some, he adopted "Barry". Indonesia does NOT allow for dual citizenship, so by being adopted he renounced any claim to American citizenship. Also his mother was not yet 19 when she gave birth and the 1940 U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Act is clear about this: she cannot automatically pass on citizenship. Another little interesting tidbit is that there is no record of Obama having a U.S. passport before he got into the Illinois Legislature. However, by his own accounts he had travelled.... to Pakistan and other places. Interestingly, there was a high level travel alert about Pakistan for Americans. While I do not believe the State Department was actually forbidding Americans from travelling there (1980/1981), it is interesting that Obama seems to have had no problems, probably because he was travelling on an INDONESIAN passport.
10 :
You haters are just so sad. Seriously, seek help.
11 :
So many hate filled answers from the Libtards! What ever happened to open dialog between differing ideas? Went the way of "transparent administration?" But I don't see anything here that would help save the nation. Herr Obama is going to be Der Fuhrer for a little under three more years then he'll get the the boot. Would love to see his Fascist hiney fired now, but that would put that moron Biden into the White House and Nazi Pelosi as the Vice President. THAT is a scarier picture than the current one of Jimmy Carter 2.0 on steroids scenario being played out for the comic delight of the entire planet!!!
12 :
Part 1: If a minor is born in the USA, and is then taken abroad, that minor child cannot lose American citizenship, nor can the legal guardian take it away. An overt act must be made at age 21 to actually reject conferred citizenship. For Obama, the key date would be August 1, 1982. The records were never released by Occidental College for Part 2. But even if they were, again note the age: before age 21. Because of that little tidbit, that should render the rest of the argument irrelevant. Anyone attempting to use that as a smoking gun would be shot down, because that was for his age 18 and age 19 years. As for natural-born citizen, that has never been defined.

Obama is not an American or is a Criminal?

Obama is not an American or is a Criminal?
In a document released April 2009 under court order from Occidental Collage. A student 'Barry Soetoro' applied for student aid as a foreign student from Indonesia. Based on documentation provided to the school, 'Barry Soetoro' was awarded a Fellowship form the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship Program. To qualify for this funding, a student must provide documentation that they are a foreign student! Barry Soetoro and Barock Obama are one and the same. This indicates that either Obama is not an American Citizen or that he committedd 'grand larceny' and is a criminal! Take your pick, either way he is noteligiblee to be President of the United States! Check out this link: http://www.thetruthseeker... irregulartimes.com/index.php/tag/barry-soetoro I expect outrage and indignation. I also expect people to investigate http://lamecherry.blogspot.com/2009/03/occidental-obama.html Note to AshtheSe...: thanks for the link, consider, if you had as much at stake would you pay for this link?

Check the facts bro...that's a hoax.
7 :
The document is dated April 1st 2009. It's a hoax.
8 :
PLEASE FIX THE LINK !!!!! It does not work. . . . ; Below is exactly what I wrote on June 11: What I'd like to know is if anyone was able to examine his University transcripts. Obama had an Indonesian passport; that is indisputable. He had to: his mother took for herself and Obama Indonesian citizenship. Hence, some people have speculated that Obama may have gotten into University on lower (foreign) tuition, and hence his records would show information like his place of birth and nationality. Interestingly, the Hawaii Dept. of Education supposedly "lost" Obama's kindergarten records. What's the importance of that? From last website below: "This is an important feature because Kindergarten records for original school entry would have contained the following: 1. Obama's REAL Birth Certificate. 2. An application with the following: • His Legal name. • Parents or Legal Guardians’ names. • Date of Birth • Place of Birth • Vaccination Records (revealing a timeline to the place and DOB.) It also is important for two additional reasons: A. The Department of Education does not "lose" the records of one particular student. (So, who paid whom what sum to make this record disappear?) B. There would have been NO shameful low-test scores, NO embarrassing Equal Opportunity advancements, and NO trails of fraudulent funding to hide that could possibly "excuse" the quashing of public school Kindergarten entry records. For the rest of his life he attended very expensive private schools and has had his records legally sealed to deny the public his true life story. This is different. Hawaii should be able to verify he attended their school since he is featured in class photographs. State and federal tax dollars paid for his initial year of education. Why is there no documentation? This is the beginning of an intentionally erased life of a fraud and conman and it reeks of complicity by officials within the State of Hawaii’s Dept. of Health and Dept. of Education." . . . . P.S. Libbys are so ridiculous. The only thing I had written so far were the first two lines, and yet they thought it was cause to give me thumbs down. I can practically smell the bitter stench of their desperation. Obama's in big doo-doo.

A hoax it may be but I still say both are true

No... I'm afraid of the dentist.

Some elementary and secondary schools offer free dental screenings done by dental students. Your dental college probably has some type of deal with a school for these type of screenings. Usually they just do a quick inspection of the teeth, give out info on basic mouth care, and hand out free toothbrushes.

I am really surprised - parents in America let their kids be left-handed?

I am really surprised - parents in America let their kids be left-handed?
I was born in 1987 and lived in Indonesia for the first 17+ yrs of my life. I am now 19 & have been in usa for 1 yr. In my grade level in Indonesia, out of 120 students, 3 were left-handed and I remember the PE teacher saying 3 left-handers out of 120 is more than average. I knew one of the left-handers quite well and she told me her mum used to hit her left hand with a ruler but she never became right-handed. Out of about a hundred ppl I knew from my school in Indonesia, she was the only left-hander. I came to usa last year and have made quite a lot of friends since then. I notice about 15% of my friends are left-handed, most of them being caucasian girls. Out of about 10 of those I asked whether their parents tried to switch them, only 1 said yes. I was really shocked that american parents let their kids be left-handed. I have always thought left-handed is a bad habit like thumb-sucking that parents have to try to refrain their kids from doing. I guess I am backward?

Welcome to the U.S., WE do things different here, if you're left handed it's ok, remember, if the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body, does that mean left handed people are in there right mind ?
4 :
Left handers think with the right side of their brain. Lefty. fact. I AM
5 :
Its a trait, like having freckles or a big nose. Beating a kid won't change that, or at least it shouldn't. Its about which hand is dominant. That is the best hand for writing with. And most left handed children have a left handed parent or grandparent. Being a lefty is nothing to feel shame about. Its just part of them! I hate when people pick on kids for stupid stuff.
6 :
There is no "letting" them be left or right handed. It is dictated by their brain. They naturally use their dominate hand and if you try to change it, it can really mess them up. I guess your culture just views it differently. Here, it's acceptable to be either left or right handed. I've read studies that say left handed people tend to have higher IQ's. Unfortunately, me and all of my children and right handed!
7 :
Well that's something I didn't know. No your not backward its just what was normal for you guys. if your right handed you don't get that pencil smudge though and here we don't really care as long as one of them works you're good
8 :
I was not forced to use my right hand but I use both my right and left hands to write. It's not a bad habit. It's not a bad thing to be right or left handed here. It just takes some getting used to. My handwriting is neater with my left hand than my right but I use both. It's not a habit some people just sometimes write better with one hand than the other. It also has to do with the side of the brain a person uses.
9 :
What difference does it make if someone is left or right handed. As long as the job is done who should care. That's the way GOD made them so shall it be. That's like England driving on the other side of the road unlike the rest of the world, so what , it works for them so who should care. Being different is cool.
10 :
im left handed its not bad i mean its really hard to use the other hand...why dont u try to use ur left hand for everything for 1 day
11 :
my mother used to hit me on my left hand every time i used it to eat or write, so i was forced to be right handed. i hated her for that and still have a resentment over that (the hitting). about 10 years ago i decided to really use my left hand. surprising things are: i picked up writing with my left immediately, my left hand writing is almost the identical as my right hand writing, i draw better with my left than my right. i do have to admit that i really enjoy being ambidextrous. i do have that to thank my mother for that.
12 :
when you try and control a person's way of writting you are tryig to rewire their brain this is extreamly unhealthy. Many studies were done and have proven that this method of trying to switch lefties to righties is not good!!! Because Lefties use their right side of their brain they are very good problemsolvers. I am a lefty it is very difficult to live in a world that has basically made for right handed people but I have adjusted nicely with no ill affects. In the U.S.A. diversity is what this country was built on enjoy it, embrace it, and learn from it. Welcome to America, I hope your stay is a pleasant one.
13 :
I am almost 60, and I remember people who were old when I was young talking about how they were smacked until they used their right hand. They also UNIFORMLY said that they would never do that to a child. I was left-handed, and none of my teachers, nor my parents or grandparents, ever tried to bully me to change. It was not made much of at all. "Southpaw" was as much as they ever bothered to tease me about, and I didn't have any reason to mind that. But the old Victorian ladies told us about how, when they were young, people were cruel to their children, and beat them to make them right-handed. We were glad to live in better times, and that was the end of the discussion. No big deal. Now, at my age, I hear that there are still places where this cruel custom is continued. I am saddened. I didn't know. Do we need a left-hander's Liberation Front?
14 :
forcing a child to change what has come naturally to them is an extremely old school way of thinking. I am surprised that people still do it & that people find it abnormal that parents dont force their kids into switching. Its not just America, most of the world is now treating their kids as humans not tools...most of it not all.
15 :
Look I am a right hander and my bestestesteset friend in the whole isaleft handerr! You know what when you go to the store everyday and want to buy a soda the clerk will let you swipe you're card even if are a left hander. Now for the parents part that is just stuipd and wrong. Parents should love their children no matter what they look like or habbits they might have. A daughter may be addicted to guys but the mother doesn't stop loving her. So really I have no comment on why a mother should hurt there kids just cause there left handed. So yeah you are backwords to think such things. Now I dont know how it was in Indonesia but here we dont judge people by there color, shape, size and abblity (Well not everyone)!!!!!
16 :
Years ago, back in the 1930s and '40's, teachers were (mis)led to believe that everyone should be right-handed so the kids would be using their brains "like normal people" do. Medical professionals have since determined that there is absolutely NO proof that "leftys" have any disadvantage intellectually from anyone who is right-handed. Now, keep in mind that in many Middle Eastern countries, nearly EVERYONE is right-handed for a reason: People do everything with their right hand, especially eat. The left hand is ONLY to be used for using toilet paper. That is why when people get caught shoplifting, their RIGHT hand is removed, therefore forcing them to eat with the same hand they must wipe their ass with. This is considered to be a "disgrace". Most civilized countries don't follow this tradition.
17 :
What do you mean,, now-a-days if kids are left handed then way in the world would you want to change that. I have never read anything like this before,
18 :
No just not caught up with the times, up until the 1980's parents mostly were told to train their left handed children to be righty's but those who were born left handed and forced to switch always had worse handwriting, difficult keeping up in classes and other problems so it slowly changed to not try to change them. My son used both hands until he was 7 and I still can write with both but I am predominately right handed, but my son still does somethings with his right and some with his left. The doctors thought he would eventually choose one over the other but never has. Good luck & hope this helped.
19 :
That's a primitive attitude. In some countries it has to do with cleanliness--you only greet people and eat with your right hand because you wipe your butt with your left. If you're going to choose a hand for that reason, it's easier to go with the one 85% of the people use naturally. In societies using hand weapons, it's easier to fight with the 85% who use the same hand that you do. You don't have as much chance to practice for the other 15%, and that can be a real disadvantage. But as soon as you look carefully at WHY the left hand is discriminated against, you begin to notice problems. Lefties forced to use their right hand are being forced to use a side of the brain that doesn't work as well for some tasks. Stammering is a common side effect of forcing a person to change hands. There is one very clear reward to being left handed, though. It's said that a wife lies on the right side and a mistress on the left. My family was comparing notes and the wives all slept on the left side, in the mistress position. Except mine. And then I knew what was happening. When you sleep in the same bed and the man makes an approach, he rolls toward the woman. Which hand is uppermost and free to use then? It seems we all had satisfying marriages. I'm left handed. But there's an 85% chance that the mate (man or woman) of a left hander will likewise have the favored hand topmost.
20 :
people are born left or right handed, it shouldnt be an issue really, why should someone have to change what hand they write with?? as long as they can write who cares what hand its with. me my husban and our 2 children are left handed and were all fine. being left handed is not a habbit. its genetic.
21 :
you are realy backward. whats wrong by being left handed? dont tell me only right handed people live normal lives. there are products made for lefties you know. right or left its the same.
22 :
You shouldn't change something you are born with. My aunt used to be left handed and where she used to live they hit her left hand untin they broke her fingers now she can't use her left hand very well at all. It may seem wierd to you but it's just the way it is.
23 :
well im not too sure why im left handed but i am. my parents didnt try to make me change to my right hand, im not too sure on how americans think of this matter but in australia it doesnt really matter at all.
24 :
What is wrong about being left handed? I'm left handed, and it is not a choice we make, nor our parents'
25 :
How can it be a bad habit when that is what is natural to them? Would you think it weird if people thought that because you were right handed there was something wrong?????
26 :
People are born left handed. Left handed people actually think more with a certain side of the brain and it's not a habit or a bad thing. I have heard that many years ago, left handers where made to switch but that does not happen anymore.
27 :
Canadians do too! I was born in 1976 in Canada & have always been left handed. My grade one teacher was very old fashioned & (strict) & she felt the same way as you did. The teacher had my mother & I come to school to her classroom & the teacher tried to get me to write with my right hand & once my mother saw how messy my right handed printing was, that was it. My mother finally piped up & said "No Way She's Left Handed & Thats It." After that day, the teacher never said another word! If you watch tv on a regular basis, start paying attention when actors or actresses are writing, there's a high percentage that are. In just my family alone there is my cousin & I. Then I have a close friend who is also left handed. Apparently people who are left handed use the right side of their brains while right handed people use the left side of their brain. In Britain, around 11% of men and women aged 15-24 are now left-handed, compared to just 3% in the 55-64 age category.[19] McManus suggests a number of factors that may be driving this increase: *Left-handers were severely discriminated against during the 18th and 19th centuries and it was often "beaten out" of people, *In adulthood, left-handers were often shunned by society, resulting in fewer marrying and reproducing. As discrimination was reduced in the 20th century, the number of natural left-handers who stayed left-handed increased The rising age of motherhood contributed as, statistically, older mothers are more likely to give birth to left-handed children. Nicole

HEHEHE! I AM A LEFTY--- AND VERY PROUD OF IT! ((: However back in the day-- 50s/60/s My aunt who is also left handed, when in school the teacher would hit her hand with a ruler also- so it was not always just OK- Clinton is a lefty.... lots of celebrities are leftys too---- leftys are smart, and special ~((:
29 :
so what, my daughter is left handed
30 :
I would not call it backwards, but I'd call it a cultural thing. You need to get over it though. Being left handed is not a bad habit- it is something that your brain decides. You will not feel too happy if somebody forced you to write with your left hand or your foot, so leave the lefties alone. My dad's and my mom's grandmothers were left-handed and their parents and teachers even spanked them to make them switch. They wrote with their right hand, but had horrid handwriting, and used their left hand for everything else ( knitting, cutting, etc). Handedness is something that your genetics decides. I am left-handed and I've never had any problems, nor anybody (except for my first-grade antiquated teacher) has tried to switch me. I did more than fine in school, so it has never been any problem.
31 :
left handed ness is not a habit it is just who you are. My mother was raised where left handed was bad. She was hit every day by teachers and she is still left handed. It is really hard to change your dominant hand. Also it is proven that people who are left handed think with their right side of the brain and tend to be more creative so why would you not want a child to be creative
32 :
I AM A LEFTY AND PROUD OF IT. My parents tried to make me switch, it did not work. Nothing worked and they had to give up. Making a child change hands is OLD SCHOOL, it was quite common back in the 30s, 40, 50s. But nowadays, parents accept it. We understand that kids are different and we praise those differences. Honestly, I believe it is hereditary. A gene for left-handed. And it can travel through many lines of generations. One of my sons is left handed like me and one is right handed like my husband. It is natural. Back in the early days we could not accept differences. When I was born I had reddish olive skin and black black hair and dark blue eyes. My mother and father looked at me and though someone in the hospital switched the babies up. My father wanted to give me back. He thought I was Indian. My mother said no I will keep her even though she looks nothing like the rest of the kids and family. Well I can tell you after 50 years that I am deffinately her child and I look just like my brothers. What if she would have tried to give me back? Tried to change me? Did not accept this left-handed BABY?
33 :
I was a leftie as a child, my teachers made me do things with my right hand starting in kindergarten here in America in the early 80's-I had terrible handwriting and couldn't even cut with scissors for years. Then they'd talk to my parents about how behind I was, which was stupid because they made me that way. I still eat and do regular things with my left but write with my right, if I write with my left now it's like a kindergartner since that's where I stopped writing. I think it's cruel to make a child go against nature.
34 :
Left-handedness is as natural as blue eyes or olive skin. We are born to be who we are. Western cultures stopped changing children's handedness in the 1970s when they finally realised it was "alright" to be left-handed. 10-12% of the general population is left-handed, although 15% of children in Australian schools are left-handed from our research. We believe this is because we no longer stop children being left-handed. There is a strong tendency in Asian cultures to still stigmatise left-handers and change them where possible but this is changing slowly, thankfully. The porportion of lefties in Asian cultures can be as low as 3% because of this cultural influence.

Who is Barry Soetoro?

Who is Barry Soetoro?
In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama's qualifications for the presidency, the group "Americans for Freedom of Information" has released copies of President Obama's college transcripts from Occidental College . Released today, the transcript school indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California. The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify, for the scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship. This document would seem to provide the smoking gun that many of Obama's detractors have been seeking. Along with the evidence that he was first born in Kenya and there is no record of him ever applying for US citizenship, this is looking pretty grim. The news has created a firestorm at the White House as the release casts increasing doubt about Obama's legitimacy and qualification to serve as President article titled, "Obama eligibility Questioned," leading some to speculate that the story may overshadow economic issues on Obama's first official visit to the U.K. In a related matter, under growing pressure from several groups, Justice Antonin Scalia announced that the Supreme Court agreed to hear arguments concerning Obama's legal eligibility to serve as president in a case brought by Leo Donofrio of New Jersey . This lawsuit claims Obama's dual citizenship disqualified him from serving as president. Donofrio's Case is just one of 18 suits brought by citizens demanding proof of Obama's citizenship or qualification to serve as president. Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation of Obama's campaign spending. This study estimates that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records. Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still ongoing but that the final report will be provided to the U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder. So far Mr. Holder has refused to comment on the matter..

College transcripts do not have financial aid information. Nor do foreign students recieve financial aid. All foreign students must demonstrate funding for their entire four years of schooling in order to attend an American school. Again, this information would not be on a college transcript.

Apparently according to some respondents Occidental provided false information. We don't see any support for it though. It looks like Scalia feels there is cause for concern. How do you spin that?

Your own first paragraph states that "he never applied for US citizenship" - gee, ever think it's because HE IS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN? Long before Obama ever ran for president, he obtained his first passport, which requires that you submit your long-form birth certificate. Trust me, if Obama was not a citizen, the Clintons, the McCain campaign with the help of the Bush White House, the FBI and CIA, would have been able to ferret out what you birthers think is the truth. The truth is, he was born in Hawaii. Get over it, move on.

This is an April Fool's spoof that is more than a year old. The organization doesn't exist, but they have a web site tracking their spoof. http://amfoi.wordpress.com/ As they say: "But this message isn’t meant for people like you and me who actually check facts, require evidence and live in the Reality-Based Community. The message is meant for chumps." Scalia never announced the Court would hear an eligibility case: in fact, they've declined to hear 9 separate motions/petitions. Donofrio's case has been dead in the water since December 2008. Occidental has never released transcripts. http://www.oxy.edu/x7992.xml Foreign students don't get aid, Fulbrights are only for graduate students or students studying outside the US.

How will Barack Obama's upbringing by Muslim parents & training in a Muslim school impact his politics?

How will Barack Obama's upbringing by Muslim parents & training in a Muslim school impact his politics?
Barack Obama was trained in a Muslim school in Indonesia, his mother was Muslim-turned atheist, and his father and grandfather were Muslim. Barack is presently a member of the United Church of Christ. I am not aware of what was taught by Indonesian Muslim schools 30 years ago. Did they indoctrinate students in a similar manner we hear about Muslim schools today: promotion of Sharia Law and other values antithetical to American values? How will Barack's childhood and family experiences facilitate or obstruct his ability to defend and promote freedom of choice and religion as opposed to the doctrine of coercion and violence predominant in Muslim teaching today?

I do not trust Barack Hussein Obama with the presidency of America.
2 :
Do you really for one minute think he has a Muslim mindset? No basis for that whatsoever. Give him the benefit of the doubt rather than choose to think the worst of him.
3 :
Most likely, it will affect his public appeal. Especially from 9/11.
4 :
From the few articles I have read that cit him I get the impression that he is a very tolerant man. He studied American law, at Yale I believe, so his understanding of the American judicial system is strong. I also got the impression that most of his upbringing was by his American mother and his father had little influence. He was born and raised in Hawaii and looks beyond race at the individual. I feel he has a strong heart and truly cares about the people of America. Unfortunately he seems very similar to other politicians in one respect. He hasn't been good at conveying his platform to the masses. I would like to know more about what action he intends to take. And that goes for all candidates.
5 :
Nobody seems to know very much about him other than the fact that the media adores him. He could be genuine or a "Manchurian Candidate". I wouldn't vote for anyone has very limited experience and who only appeals to the media and left wing (or right wing).
6 :
Obama went to a Muslim school for two years, followed by a Catholic School for two years. After that he was enrolled in an acadamy in Hawaii. The fact that he had very limited exposure to Muslim education probably serves to make him a little more enlightened about Muslim culture and beliefs... as I'm sure his tenure at a Catholic school served to make him more sensitive to Christian beliefs.

What means Multiple Travel in Visa?
I have 10 month Australian student visa, which says multiple travel, so is it same as multiple entry?? I would be going to Indonesia for 2 weeks and the come back to Australia for 2-3 weeks. I am from Finland. If no one knows, where should I contact??

Multiple visa meant you can go out and enter the country without making new one ... You can contact the foreigner's regestration office they would help you with it...
2 :
It means the same as multiple entry. You may enter and leave the country as many times as you want as long as you are a student (in status) and the visa is valid. Single entry visa is good for one time entry only while multiple travel entry visa allows a person to go and come back to the country on the same visa based on permissible time frame.

Does the expression of shape vary in different languages?

Does the expression of shape vary in different languages?
Dear (industrial) designers, artists, engineers and others interested in shape, We are three Industrial Design students at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. We are currently busy researching the following issue: Does the expression of shape vary in different languages? Expressing terms of shape happens mostly instinctual, this is why certain applications aimed at designers and other people who work with shapes are not equally understandable for everyone; let alone what happens when shape terms are translated into other languages! For this reason we are trying to reach international native speakers of English, Dutch, Russian, Surinamese, Tagalog (Filipino) and Bahasa Indonesia. (But other languages are welcome too). Below are the links leading to info and the three parts of the test. It consists of 132 questions and takes about half an hour to fill in. 1 http://fs2.formsite.com/Researchanddesign/form958072694/index.html 2 http://fs2.formsite.com/Researchanddesign/form962607724/index.html 3 http://fs2.formsite.com/Researchanddesign/form964534176/index.html Thank you very much for participating! In the end we hope to have collected enough answers to compose “ideal” lists of shape terms that are adjusted to the user’s way of thinking, instead of the other way round. We expect this to result in an overall better understanding in for example, CAD-programs all over the world. Best Regards, Lorraine, Dasha and Stephan

You don't want much bigger than 15", it will be too heavy to lug around. You're gonna want lightness for easy to carry and usability. There's nothing wrong with Acer. I'm using one now, but my screen is 17". I don't carry it around every where, though. It just stays next to the couch in the living room. I'd just try to find something very lightweight for the right price. A couple pounds isn't going to kill you, if it costs 500 dollars more. As for foreign languages, I can't help you there. My own public library won't even let me check out a book on sign language! Oh yea, get at least 2 mb L2 cache speed for better indexing. Cache speed helps with opening and closing programs and the amount of time it takes to open each. And from here on out, don't get anything other than Wireless-N for the network adapter in any laptop. The Wireless-N is all the speed you'll need to keep up with technology for at least two more years, maybe three. Here's a link on cache. It's actually a pretty good link. http://computer.howstuffworks.com/cache2.htm

I do not think it is necessary to have a religion in one's life. I've never had one, and I've had a happy and fulfilling life so far. People who have grown up with religion their whole lives may tell you that it's necessary for them, which it may be at this point. But that is only because they've become dependent on it over time.
2 :
No, it isn't important. Many people live happy meaningful lives without believing in any sort of mythology.
3 :
Here is what I suggest: In whatever cultural the person was raised in that is most likely the religion they will believe. However, there is no such thing as a deity and all with one are delusional. Base your paper around that and do research to back up your facts.
4 :
Muslims arent interested in "cross-cultural understanding". They are the most self-righteous hatefilled people on earth. Whether they live in Saudia Arabia, Indonesia, or Yemen, makes no difference at all. Muslims are the most hatefilled people on earth. No one else comes close.
5 :
Not only is not necessary it is disruptive to many lives. Religion causes more problems than it solves. Just look at the number of wars fought over religion. I challenge you to name one war that was influenced by a difference in religion of the warring parties.
6 :
It is important to have a connection to our group in our lives and for centuries religion provided it as well as giving answers to people who couldn't find them. It is important to have connection and acceptance in our lives. How we get them religion, government or clan affiliation is the least important part of a vital need.

Search in Amazon for a guiding book. At first decide who will act and who will be responsible for the decoration, the costumes, the advertising (if you need something like that), the music etc. Motivate them to produce ideas It is better everyone to have a specific role and very important to cooperate with each other in small groups. Then see your funds, how much you can spend for the performances and how you can get things that you are going to need, cooperate with the kids about it (for ex. someone may be capable of finding a cheap way to make the costumes...). Make a list of the things that you are going to need. Make a schedule of your proves after giving the roles. I hope you understand my english...

My analysis of Barack Obama , come see if you agree?

My analysis of Barack Obama , come see if you agree?
While you look at the attention that is being lavished on Barack Hussein Obama , you will see a completely unqualified man , a man who is being held up as a potential Presidential candidate . However in spite of the media's attempt to push this candidate over the top , Barack Hussein Obama is consistently outpolled by even minor entrants into the race , like for example the 2004 Democratic Vice Presidential nominee former Senator John Edwards , a lawyer who made his fortune by suing doctors . So the question in my mind and I am sure in everyone else's is - Why does the media continue to position Obama as the front-runner ? Well here's my analysis : The media is pushing Obama knowing he can't win and they're mainly pushing Obama for the simple fact that he can become the target of the critics - instead of Hillary . Obama gets the attention , Obama generates buzz and all the while Hillary flies along under the radar . Then after all of the conservative and other critics have spent all of their ammo to take down Obama using his years in a madrassa as a Muslim student in Indonesia { which he will not reply about } but the stories are out there , Obama then falls out of the race - but he comes back in a year as the Vice Presidential candidate on Hillary's ticket . So you'll have a Hillary candidacy with Obama as a vice presidential candidate , which will be a liberal juggernaut that will win in the absence of any real conservative opposition . Then after Hillary's 8 year reign , people will say " Obama has had 8 year's with the Clinton's and he should have been President before , why not now ? " And that's exactly what will happen - Obama will then be President , however after Hillary . Don't take this as fact it is merely my analysis of how I see the current Political structure , do you agree with my analysis ? Side Note - If this gets deleted feel free to comment on my 360 page .

Maybe. More likely the media is focusing on Obama because of the controversy it generates.
2 :
I agree he is completely under qualified. Not nearly enough time in public office. Most presidents have served as Governors before president - how can we judge his leadership abilities. Interviewing well is not what I am looking for.
3 :
B. HUSSEIN OBAMA is... just another Race Pimp.
4 :
Obama would be a great president
5 :
He is an empty suit.
6 :
That's not even political analysis buddy. Might be a D+ on a term paper though
7 :
You're paranoid. In your mind, there is a liberal media and a huge conspiracy to ensure 16 years of Democratic rule. Is a plan so Machevellian that is preposterous. Hillary and Obama aren't in cahoots and they won't run together.
8 :
Your analysis is good but I wonder what there failure to vote for the military budget will do for them, both have voted for the budget in the past and Hillary had said she would vote for it again, then both decided against it. This is familiar territory for the Democrats, and I know that John Kerry's "I voted for the war before I voted against it" hurt his chances of winning the election. B.O does not have enough experience to be President and his former religion may come back to haunt him. I can see Hillary selecting him as VP running mate becuase of his numbers (and his race) but I am not so sure that if elected she would spend 8 years as President and I am also not so sure that she would even get elected in the first place. Have to wait and see but you question analysis is well thought out.
9 :
HILLARY WILL NOT GET IT....I am telling you man...she will not. There are too many people that would vote for ANYONE BUT her.
10 :
Obama is already losing ground i mean he has hardly any political history and hillary she has way too many 'skeletons' in her closet but thats the dems! I say we should maybe take a look at another candidate and thats Ron Paul hes extremely qualified and is already shaking up the GOP with his traditional approach towards American policy!
11 :
I don't buy all that. The media like him because he is telegenic & speaks well. They also like that he is non white, giving them something different to talk about. There is no way the Hildabeast will ever be under the radar. She has a bigger radar cross section than an aircraft carrier.
12 :
Eh...I have to disagree, seems like kind of an overthought analysis, and not very well-thought either. You have to keep in mind that the media isnt working for anyone except themselves (and the corporations that own them) and their main goal is to get ratings because ratings = money. So, the reason theyre going with Obama is because he generates controversy. Controversy = ratings and ratings = money. Its very simple.
13 :
Your analysis is really far fetched. 1) Obama has more experience than Abraham Lincoln did while running for president. Lincoln only served two years as a member of the house of representatives, while Obama has in 8 years as state senator and 4 years as US Senator. Which would make him even more experienced that President Bush as well, who only served 8 years as governor. 2) Obama outpolls Edwards, as well as every other candidate aside from Hillary. 3) He can win, and has the money to run a good race. 4) Obama did respond to the madrassa alligation by calling it horse droppings. The story was debunked by CNN and retracted by Fox who originally reported on it (which based on an unsourced story from the wingnut funded Insight magazine). Obama is playing to win. Americans as well as the media are attracted to his strong ideas and charisma. It's as simple as that. There are no indications that he and Hillary even get along. All of the facts I've presented were easily found with five minutes of research. But like most Republicans, I'm sure you have no interest in the facts unless they somehow back up your twisted view of the world. Good luck with that.
14 :
I don't think Hillary would choose Obama to be her running mate nor he her. I think she has already asked former Iowa governor and Presidential candidate Tom Vilsack to be her running mate and that would be a better choice for her. Vilsack wouldn't overshadow her and Obama could. Part of the reason the media loves Obama is because of his charisma and his oratory skills. I am guessing Obama will drop out of the race after the South Carolina primary and throw his support to Edwards or Hillary. Richardson is a dark horse but I think Edwards and Hillary have the best shot. But then, it's so early, who knows. Gore could decide to run in the fall. NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg could decide to run as an independent with Nebraska's Chuck Hagel (they recently had a 3 hour meeting) and then things could get REALLY interesting.
15 :
i have heard people say if Hillary runs, Mr. Clinton could be her vice. i hope to god neither wins, we don't need more commies in office.
16 :
You know that the fact remains that he Obama is or was a Muslim. Radical or not is not the point. Come see the headlines if he does win. Obama brings peace to the middle east by surrendering and bringing islam only to our country. Oh yeah! Ain't gonna happen. Furthermore Hillary is an idiot. And most importantly most politicians are idiots. The only one who acutally shows any gile and smarts is.... Drum roll please.... Newt.
17 :
the only reason he is getting attention is cause he is black.just like al sharpton did it will always be like that till we get a black pres which and we do not need a clinton in office and no women for sure she will ruin this country

International traveler: to get from O'Hare Int'l Airport to Appleton, Wisconsin?

International traveler: to get from O'Hare Int'l Airport to Appleton, Wisconsin?
Hi, I'm just going straight to the point. I'm an international student hailing from Indonesia and currently studies in Appleton, Wisconsin. I booked a flight ticket from Jakarta to O'Hare and from there, I want to take the Greyhound bus (just because it's cheaper than booking another connecting flight) to Appleton. The problem is, I don't really know my way around in Chicago (seeing that I've never lived there). How do I get from the airport to the Greyhound bus station? By taking a cab? Are the cabs safe? Or are there shuttles from the airport directly to the bus station? I'm lost... Oh, and FYI and I'm arriving at O'Hare on the 21st. Thanks in advance!

From looking at the Greyhound website it looks like there is a location close to O'Hare. You can take the blue line CTA out of O'Hare to the Cumberland stop. I believe it will be the second stop after departing--the first being Rosemont. Here is the information regarding the Greyhound location: Chicago Cumberland Ave, Illinois Address CTA TRANSIT BLDG 5800 N CUMBERLAND AVE Chicago Cumberland Ave, IL 60631 Telephone Numbers Main: 773-693-2474 Greyhound Package Express: 773-693-2474 Greyhound Charter: 800-454-2487 Hours Of Operation Hours of operation subject to change. 2 :
If there is no bus going to Appleton, WI, from O'Hare, hop on the subway, (which goes to the airport), and take it downtown to another Greyhound station, where you can also take a Greyhound to Appleton....
3 :
yes the cabs are safe to ride. they are expensive though. you might want to overnight one night in Chicago and get on the bus next day ? It's a long flight from Chicago and then go coordinate with Greyhound's schedule , get there boarded and travel all the way to Appleton sounds very tiring, but you may have the energy for it or just need to get there as soon as possible. you might want to try amtrak . amtrak is the train and you get it from downtown union station. chicago to appleton is about 42.00 USD one way regular price. you might get lucky and get it on sale for less money. I would look to see which bus/train coordinates good with your arrival flight schedule. Good luck.

If Obama was never Muslim then why was this reported in the Washington Post?
Do your research and maybe you will find the answer.... Obama's mother, divorced from Obama's father, married a man from Indonesia named Lolo Soetoro, and the family relocated to the country from 1967-71. At first, Obama attended the Catholic school, Fransiskus Assisis, where documents showed he enrolled as a Muslim, the religion of his stepfather. The document required that each student choose one of five state-sanctioned religions when registering – Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Catholic or Protestant.

You need to pose this question to the Washington Post
2 :
That I can not answer for the post but to add to that, why won't he release his birth records? Afraid some truth might come out?
3 :
At the time when people didn't look at Obama as a presidential candidate, people were more candid and let the facts seep out. Now that he is, he can only be portrayed as a Messiah, and Islam doesn't fit that bill (yet).
4 :
Here's the deal about Obama's faith. It isn't being reported in the news (you'll figure out why when you read this), but it is the truth. Obama is a Muslim. His father raised him as a Muslim. The so-called Church of Christ isn't a Christian Church, it is a black liberation theology church. Obama knew he couldn't run for the presidency as a Muslim so he joined a pseudo Christian church that wouldn't affect his Muslim faith.
5 :
It is irrelevant if he somehow is a Muslim. He is a political elite first. We can see people like this in action in the giuse of British Conservative Margerat Tatcher who damaged the social security and power of her own gender in order to protect ailing corporate profits or black elites in South Africa who have largely preserved the white middle classes. Similarly Suadi Arabian officials put the interests of the west and themselves before their own populus.
6 :
he was born a moslem and his crazy mom had a thing for moslems and she picked up another one after Dad split
7 :
Why does it even matter? Not all Muslims are like Bin Laden. Not all Christians are like George Bush, Ian Paisley etc. Remember that while bin lid claims to be Moslem, what he does is well outside of what "his" religion believes. You don't go slagging off the likes of David Koresh or Timothy McVeigh because they claimed they were Christian. You leave their religion out of the question when you pass judgement.
8 :
His religion means nothing whatsoever to me. It's his politics that scare me to death and if there is justice he will NOT be elected. I'm certainly not voting for him, am seriously thinking of writing in Mickey Mouse!
9 :
Because the news media is as biased as everyone else. Remember when the Chicago Tribune, Reported that Bush had an IQ of 89. When the report came from the Parody webpage LinkyDinky

Memorable, Last Meeting.. How?

Memorable, Last Meeting.. How?
I am Teaching English for Public Speaking in Jogjakarta, Indonesia. My students are 3rd graders of Senior High School. Next week is the last meeting; and we have been working hard throughout the whole program. I want to have something interestingly fun, yet educating. I want to make it unforgettable, yet still related to Public Speaking and Motivational Activities in general. For teachers and students, any idea?

Give everyone a paperback Dictionary/Thesaurus. I am lost without mine.

Hi maybe you can bring a baked good if you are allowed? Or some refreshments and have the last "class" be a social, good bye gathering where they have to play toastmasters & speak in front of each other. First have the students each write their name on a strip of paper, and a silly subject on another strip of paper. Toastmasters but on silly subjects, so put all the names into a hat & all the subjects into another one. Draw a name & have that person, draw a subject & talk on the topic for 3 minutes or less.
3 :
make a inspirational speech and have them make a short speech about how they feel about the class. im in public speaking and i would want to do that, and your job is very interesting by the way.

I'm confused as to the age of your students when they're called 3rd graders, but at a Senior High School, so its difficult to give you an answer that will fit the range of 8 to 17 year old students. Also, you don't say how long your last meeting is scheduled to last, nor if the style of the class is interactive or lecture, so that further confuses the issue. Nevertheless, here are 2 ideas for your consideration: 1. Lecture - Pick a GREAT example of someone in history who was a wonderful motivater of people (ie: Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr.; Winston Churchill; Bishop Tutu; etc.), then present examples of that person's public speaking to your students. Alternatively, you could do a collage of several different examples, then ask the class to vote on their favorite one. (If you have computer or video facilities to actually show them the examples that would be great!) 2. Interactive - Assignment is for each student to present to the class a statement of why someone is their favorite motivational public speaker & give 1 or 2 quotes from that person. For each presentation given, the other students have to vote on who they think the speaker is. (You can have this be done in a written format that you would grade later, or if you have the time in class do it verbally, or put all names on a flip chart & have the class vote on who they think it is - giving another famous quote from that person as proof.) If I would have had more details about the audience, time & resource constraints, etc. I might be able to offer more ideas; but, I hope these help.

Any thing is possible why wouldn't this be? Go for it!
2 :
With the right guidance and sufficient funds, of course it's possible.
3 :
All things are possible.
4 :
You don't need much equipment to do a simple TV production. If you don't need to get broadcast quality then a camcorder and a computer with some sort of editing software will do. However if you want professional results then you'll need to invest in cameras, lighting, microphones, editing suite, studio with vision and audio mixing. And have the technical training to operate these things.
5 :
you can do anything at all if you set ur mind to it. persevere and give it a shot. can't wait to see it

Do you think there is hope now?

Do you think there is hope now?
AP- WASHINGTON D.C. - In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama's qualifications for the presidency, the group "Americans for Freedom of Information" has Released copies of President Obama's college transcripts from Occidental College .. Released today, the transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order. The news has created a firestorm at the White House as the release casts increasing doubt about Obama's legitimacy and qualification to serve as president. When reached for comment in London , where he has been in meetings with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Obama smiled but refused comment on the issue. Under growing pressure from several groups, Justice Antonin Scalia announced that the Supreme Court agreed on Tuesday to hear arguments concerning Obama's legal eligibility to serve as President in a case brought by Leo Donofrio of New Jersey . This study estimates that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records. Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still ongoing but that the final report will be provided to the U.S. Attorney general. LET OTHER FOLKS KNOW THIS NEWS, THE MEDIA WON'T ! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obama's qualification for the presidency is a moot point. He IS the president, by the will of his people! and, just WHAT does this have to do with languages????

You certainly are gullible, aren't you? Did you check the Occidental College website? Or any of the other claims cited? This was an April Fools Day joke that originally appeared on April 1, 2008. This chain email contains multiple falsehoods: * The article is not from the Associated Press (AP), which has confirmed to FactCheck.org that the article is a hoax. A web search also turns up no record of the article being published at established, reputable news outlets, and as Snopes.com has observed the article does not conform to AP stylebook guidelines. * The group "Americans for Freedom of Information" does not exist. A web search for the group returns no official group by that name, though now the search does return a site that says "Americans for Freedom of Information: We Do Not Exist" and proceeds to mock as "chumps" people who take the chain email seriously. * Occidental College has not released any of Obama's education transcripts, and nor does a web search indicate that they have ever been ordered to. * Britain's Daily Mail has not published an article titled "Obama Eligibility Questioned" on their front page or otherwise. * Leo Donofrio's lawsuit claiming that Obama has dual citizenship was rejected by the Supreme Court on December 8, 2008. * At the United States Justice Foundation's website there is no mention of a study claiming that Obama has spent any money, let alone close to a million dollars in campaign funds, fighting to block disclosure of personal records. Gary Kreep has moreover informed FactCheck.org that the claim that his organization has released the results of such a study is a hoax. What was your headline again? Do you think there is hype now?
