HELP me to find the right community college for international student!?
I'm a senior high school student in Indonesia, interested in architecture. My GPA for last semester was 3.1, my TOEFL CBT score was 237, adn my SAT simulation score was only 1640. I'm looking for a good, cheap community college in California or Washington. Much better if there are Indonesian students too. Many people said that San Diego and Santa Barbara are great place for study, but I can't find a community college in there that offer architecture major. Orange Coast College and Pasadena City College offer that. But, Orange County is kindda expensive and identic to "party everynight", is that true? About Washington, I heard that Seattle is great, but there are only 2 options there (UW and WSU) for continuing bachelor degree and both of them are hard. I mean if transfering thing is so hard, better I apply to second tier/ third tier universities that offers architecture major OR get AA degree first? But to attend university, my English is not god at all. HELP ME!! THANKS!

Being that I attend a university in the OC, I can tell you for sure, that it is not the party town you think it is. San DIego on the other hand, is. I don't know anything about Washington, but I can for sure recommend for you Pasadena City College. This is great because it is very close to Cal TEch and they probably get a lot of transfer students from Pasadena City College, so the counselors can probably help better. However, it is very expensive to live almost anywhere in CA and especially Pasadena, San Diego, and the OC, so you may want to look up websites like craigslist.org or some roommate finding service and see how much rent really is, and is you can afford it. If not, maybe Washington or somewhere in the middle of the country would be better for you. Good luck!

Your best bet would use the "Counselor-O-Matic" tool on Princeton Review. I linked it below. It asks you all your scores, what you can afford, what kind of setting you'd like (including state), and it has a section to applies to International students. I think it would be your best resource. I linked it below. Good luck!

Sierra Community College has a hudge international demographic. The Math / Physics department is awesome. They are building a new math building this year. Its a pretty campus. It ranks as the number one Community College in California for the number of Associate Degrees awarded for the fourth year in a row. Nationally, Sierra College is ranked thirteenth overall for the second year in a row. Its in a suburban setting, about 10-15 minutes from Sacramento. Visit http://assist.org/ to find California community college's that transfer to Calafornia State schools. You can pick any community college and take courses that will transfer to a state school. If you click on explore majors, find all the State schools that offer your major of choice, then look at community college's that have thouse classes. Although some schools may not offer thouse courses you still need the CSU GE-Breadth/IGETC (for most schools for your major) you can still go to that community college and still transfer under that major.
