I do not think it is necessary to have a religion in one's life. I've never had one, and I've had a happy and fulfilling life so far. People who have grown up with religion their whole lives may tell you that it's necessary for them, which it may be at this point. But that is only because they've become dependent on it over time.

No, it isn't important. Many people live happy meaningful lives without believing in any sort of mythology.

Here is what I suggest: In whatever cultural the person was raised in that is most likely the religion they will believe. However, there is no such thing as a deity and all with one are delusional. Base your paper around that and do research to back up your facts.

Muslims arent interested in "cross-cultural understanding". They are the most self-righteous hatefilled people on earth. Whether they live in Saudia Arabia, Indonesia, or Yemen, makes no difference at all. Muslims are the most hatefilled people on earth. No one else comes close.

Not only is not necessary it is disruptive to many lives. Religion causes more problems than it solves. Just look at the number of wars fought over religion. I challenge you to name one war that was influenced by a difference in religion of the warring parties.

It is important to have a connection to our group in our lives and for centuries religion provided it as well as giving answers to people who couldn't find them. It is important to have connection and acceptance in our lives. How we get them religion, government or clan affiliation is the least important part of a vital need.
