If Obama was never Muslim then why was this reported in the Washington Post?

Obama's mother, divorced from Obama's father, married a man from Indonesia named Lolo Soetoro, and the family relocated to the country from 1967-71. At first, Obama attended the Catholic school, Fransiskus Assisis, where documents showed he enrolled as a Muslim, the religion of his stepfather. The document required that each student choose one of five state-sanctioned religions when registering รข€“ Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Catholic or Protestant.

That I can not answer for the post but to add to that, why won't he release his birth records? Afraid some truth might come out?

At the time when people didn't look at Obama as a presidential candidate, people were more candid and let the facts seep out. Now that he is, he can only be portrayed as a Messiah, and Islam doesn't fit that bill (yet).

Here's the deal about Obama's faith. It isn't being reported in the news (you'll figure out why when you read this), but it is the truth. Obama is a Muslim. His father raised him as a Muslim. The so-called Church of Christ isn't a Christian Church, it is a black liberation theology church. Obama knew he couldn't run for the presidency as a Muslim so he joined a pseudo Christian church that wouldn't affect his Muslim faith.

It is irrelevant if he somehow is a Muslim. He is a political elite first. We can see people like this in action in the giuse of British Conservative Margerat Tatcher who damaged the social security and power of her own gender in order to protect ailing corporate profits or black elites in South Africa who have largely preserved the white middle classes. Similarly Suadi Arabian officials put the interests of the west and themselves before their own populus.

Why does it even matter? Not all Muslims are like Bin Laden. Not all Christians are like George Bush, Ian Paisley etc. Remember that while bin lid claims to be Moslem, what he does is well outside of what "his" religion believes. You don't go slagging off the likes of David Koresh or Timothy McVeigh because they claimed they were Christian. You leave their religion out of the question when you pass judgement.

His religion means nothing whatsoever to me. It's his politics that scare me to death and if there is justice he will NOT be elected. I'm certainly not voting for him, am seriously thinking of writing in Mickey Mouse!
