International traveler: to get from O'Hare Int'l Airport to Appleton, Wisconsin?
Hi, I'm just going straight to the point. I'm an international student hailing from Indonesia and currently studies in Appleton, Wisconsin. I booked a flight ticket from Jakarta to O'Hare and from there, I want to take the Greyhound bus (just because it's cheaper than booking another connecting flight) to Appleton. The problem is, I don't really know my way around in Chicago (seeing that I've never lived there). How do I get from the airport to the Greyhound bus station? By taking a cab? Are the cabs safe? Or are there shuttles from the airport directly to the bus station? I'm lost... Oh, and FYI and I'm arriving at O'Hare on the 21st. Thanks in advance!

From looking at the Greyhound website it looks like there is a location close to O'Hare. You can take the blue line CTA out of O'Hare to the Cumberland stop. I believe it will be the second stop after departing--the first being Rosemont. Here is the information regarding the Greyhound location: Chicago Cumberland Ave, Illinois Address CTA TRANSIT BLDG 5800 N CUMBERLAND AVE Chicago Cumberland Ave, IL 60631 Telephone Numbers Main: 773-693-2474 Greyhound Package Express: 773-693-2474 Greyhound Charter: 800-454-2487 Hours Of Operation Hours of operation subject to change. If there is no bus going to Appleton, WI, from O'Hare, hop on the subway, (which goes to the airport), and take it downtown to another Greyhound station, where you can also take a Greyhound to Appleton....

yes the cabs are safe to ride. they are expensive though. you might want to overnight one night in Chicago and get on the bus next day ? It's a long flight from Chicago and then go coordinate with Greyhound's schedule , get there boarded and travel all the way to Appleton sounds very tiring, but you may have the energy for it or just need to get there as soon as possible. you might want to try amtrak . amtrak is the train and you get it from downtown union station. chicago to appleton is about 42.00 USD one way regular price. you might get lucky and get it on sale for less money. I would look to see which bus/train coordinates good with your arrival flight schedule. Good luck.
