Is GED accepted in french university?

Is GED accepted in french university?
i am an international student from Indonesia.I haven't graduated from high school and now i am taking an English language program in Santa Barbara. I am also taking a GED preparation program in an Adult Education in Santabarbara city college, and maybe in 3 months i can take a GED test and get a diploma from that GED program. My question is: Is GED diploma accepted by a french university??

A GED is a valid diploma here in the U.S.A. although it is not always treated as equal to other types of diplomas (by the U.S. Military for example). Just like colleges here in the States, there is more to acceptance than just a diploma, many require SAT or SAT scores and other information before they make a decision. Your best answer would probably come from the admissions office of the French university you are considering.
2 :
Of course it depends on each university, but in general it will be accepted. GED is a high school equivalancy, and should work no problem. To be sure, you should check the university in advance. Is Indonesia even starting to hate Mr. Obama?

Is Indonesia even starting to hate Mr. Obama?
JAKARTA, Indonesia – Authorities removed a statue of Barack Obama from a park in the Indonesian capital due to a public backlash and moved it Monday to a nearby elementary school that the U.S. president attended as a child. and what dreams are they talking about?- "Still, he said he was happy that the statue might inspire the school's students to follow their dreams. -maybe that you too as an Indonesian can become President of the United States? and one final side note. Was Barry's mother on a "world hump-a-thon"? -Obama, whose American mother married an Indonesian after divorcing his Kenyan father, went to school in the capital from 1967 to 1971 and is regarded fondly by most Indonesians. Maybe she was a good American and felt she needed to be a "melting pot" of culture that spreads for the world? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100215/ap_on_re_as/as_indonesia_obama_statue

Yes, the hatred is going around the world
2 :
Whats truly funny to me is that the Left claims Obama was brought up in a poverty stricken family, yet at the same time Obama and his 'poor' family apparently had the money to move around internationally whenever and whereever they wanted.
3 :
But WAIT!!! The world was supposed to LOVE us if barry was elected.... Don't tell me... the Emperor has no clothes!
4 :
Barack Obama's mother was a noted archeologist, whose work took her from Hawaii to many other countries. Barack was raised by his grandparents in Hawaii. I wasn't aware that a woman who was divorced and remarried is on a "hump-a-thon." I think that we all should remember that we all had mothers, and I sure wouldn't describe my own mother with such lack of respect. I see nothing that makes me think President Obama's mother was not a good American. What about Bush's mother, or Jesus' mother, or anyone else's mother? And who cares if a statue was moved? It means nothing.

If your middle name is Hussein (Barack Hussein Obama), can you be elected President of the USA?

If your middle name is Hussein (Barack Hussein Obama), can you be elected President of the USA?
Senator Obama has this problem, among others. Do you think he could overcome this "bump in the road" and win anyway? What about his two years as a student in a Muslim school in Indonesia when he was a young child, or his revelation that his maternal family is distantly related to Jefferson Davis, President of the CSA during the Civil War? Isn't that a riot, that Obama is related to Jefferson Davis, of all people? jenivive, you're the one who needs to do some research. You obviously haven't read Obama's book, Dreams from My Father, published in 1995 and reissued in 2004 with a new preface. Obama, himself, has told us these facts. Senator Obama, his wife, and two daughters are members of Chicago's Trinity Church of Christ. Contrary to one answer of this question, Senator Obama is NOT a Muslim, if that concerns anyone.

all of these are rumors and are spread rampantly bc ppl dont do their research...they just turn around and spread it some more.
2 :
I can see where the name could be a liability, but i think most of America is grown up enough to look past that. I'd emphasize the late King Hussien from Jordan...he was a good man.
3 :
He has no chance anyway.
4 :
How does who you're related to have ANYTHING to do with your qualifications to be President??? Oh wait... Hillary, Shrub... .
5 :
yes theres nothing in the constitution that would stop it happening
6 :
As long as he is in no way related to Bush, he has a shot.
7 :
I think the name thing is definately gonna hold him back in the populous vote
8 :
Dude, another cat named BUSH got elected...lol...im pretty sure Obama can rig the election too.
9 :
I dont think its really a matter of life or death...
10 :
I would not vote for this guy it is amazing how the media gets the public all lathered up.
11 :
You are elected for president by what you can do for this country, not your name. I mean, you are most likely to lose an election for having that as your middle name because of our countries past.....but i dunno. im not an expert on these type of tings. lol im more of a "giving advise" sort of person.
12 :
Barack Hussein Obama, will make an excellent Vice-President under Hillary Clinton.
13 :
As long as you were born in the US you could but it wouldn't be good for your campaign.
14 :
Nothing is impossible. If he gets enough support then why not?
15 :
I don't see how his middle name could be a problem, except for certain uneducated racists who would see it as some sort of connection to Saddam Hussein. It's an ethnic name, having nothing to do with the former Iraq dictator. He won't win, though. He's running on nothing more than his charisma.
16 :
Are you grasping at straws for any chintzy reason not to vote for him?
17 :
Americans are usually good judges of character. If you have a good plan you can win. But I am not convinced just anyone can be elected. I would have no problem voting for a name, race, religion etc as long as they share my views. What in my statement would make you use the thumbs down? Email me if you have the guts.
18 :
I am amused by all those developments. However, none of them concern me in his road to the presidency more than his lack of experience. A junior senator of all of...what... 24 months is now qualified to be the leader of the free world? Even in that time, he's proven he tows the party line some 92% of the time. This doesn't give me much confidence in him.
19 :
Not if the Clinton machine has anything to say about it. I'm waiting to see what else they can come up with this week....they've already released his madrasa education. I wonder what dirt they'll find next. By the time she's through with him, no one will elect him dog catcher.
20 :
these thing want matter to the peoples who think rationally like me . by him going to a Muslim school don't make him a terrorist .
21 :
I think it is more likely than the election of someone named Clinton who is related to former President Clinton. Disgrace of the Presidency, criminal activities and impeachment are not thought of kindly.
22 :
While his name is really not an America sounding one....that doesn't bother me as much as he is a Muslim. Do we REALLY need one as president?? I think not!!
23 :
Yes. People might be put off by the name. But hopefully they'll vote for the person and their qualifications and not the name. Thankfully, he doesn't have the qualifications!
24 :
He'll never make the election. He's just there to symbolize the fact that the government supports equal opportunity and to prove the world that we are smart enough to know that Hussein is just another last name, not just Saddam's. But we're not cheating anyone.
25 :
While that name will raise a few eyebrows, its not the problem that may cause him not to get elected. Simply put, the only thing that scares me about obama is he has a very scant record to run on, and frankly, since politicians will say anything to get elected, a record is the only thing you can believe about them.
26 :
Senator Obama, as far as I know, meets the Constitutional requirements for holding the office President of the United States, so the simple answer is yes, he can be elected to that office. However, I understand that you are asking it certain aspects of his name, heritage, and personal history will jaundice voters from choosing him. The way that I see it, other people that have had relatively checkered histories have obtained high office. Given that Mr. Obama was able to convince the people of Illinois to elect him to the office of U.S. Senator, I see no reason that he would be able to extend that to a sufficient portion of the national electorate. Hope that helps.
27 :
Requirements for holding office For more information on what consitutes a natural born citizen, please see that article. The President must be a natural born citizen of the United States (or a citizen of the United States at the time the U.S. Constitution was adopted), at least 35 years of age, and a resident of the United States for at least fourteen years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Us_president If he's what the majority of voters want in a president then he will become president. What is perceived as a hurdle to one may be a plus to another.
28 :
It's like asking: Can you judge a book by its cover? That Obama had been a student in a Muslim school in Indonesia should, indeed, not be a handicap for him. He has had a diverse education... and surely, this should be an advantage, raher than a hindrance for him - especially when he's being placed in a better situation to know and sense how and what Muslims think than most clueless individuals who can't stretch their thinking and imagination beyond their little secluded comunities.
29 :
I am quite sure that his middle name is not Hussein! This man is brilliant! Have you ever heard him speak? Not all Muslims are terrorists! I did not hear about his being a Muslim either! Where are you getting your information? Bill O' Reilly? The last statement makes me think that it is possible that you may be prejudice. Are you against this very intelligent man because his father is a black man?

Did you know that Obama went to Catholic school and for some time a public school, but never a Madrassa?

Did you know that Obama went to Catholic school and for some time a public school, but never a Madrassa?
The school just happened to have a predominately Muslim student body. MAYBE BECAUSE IT IS IN INDONESIA!!! The schools I went to had mostly Christians. They were all public schools in the U.S. Does this make them radical Christian schools? Or is it because the U.S. has a large Christian population?

He's full of lies and secrets and he's just changing things around for now til he gets what he wants or whoever he's working for. This could of been planned before 9-11 can you believe it having a muslim run for president 7 yrs after 9-11 bin laudin is loving this.
3 :
He went to a private school in Hawaii on Oahu. I know this for a fact b/c i just came back from there & some of the locals told me he went to school on the island. Everyone already knows he is a Muslim that is one reason why i am not voting for him. I don't believe anything he says. I know who he has backing him. Regardless of his race or his religion, i still do not have any intention of voting for him
4 :
OK there is this huge rummor that Obama is muslim and it is mostly spreading from the republican party. But thats not true and even if he was you shouldnt discriminate. Who cares what school he went to or what race he is vote for him because you truley believe in his word. Hes just as much black as he is white hes mixed so please people vote for a better america take us out of what bush has undeniably done. xoxo
5 :
Why bother with the truth? People hear the smears they want to believe. Facts don't matter. Thanks for trying, but sanity in an election season just doesn't fit.
