a curiosity of a Muslim Hi I'm from Indonesia, I am a student of Islam, I have a curiosity, what your reasons to believe that Islamic terrorism comes from the Quran? I don't understand why the tenets of Islam is considered as a violence by outside persons. . I've read the Quran many times so I've understand. do not you ever read entirety of Quran? I think the terrorists of Islam is only wrong of perception, note the following verses: Fight in the cause of Allah Those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors. (2:190) But if the enemy incline Towards peace, do thou (Also) incline Towards peace, and trust in God. for He is One That heareth and knoweth (All Things). (8:61) God forbids you not, with regard to who Those not fight you for (your) Faith Nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with Them: for Allah loveth Those are just who. (60:8) Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever Rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most Trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth All Things. (2:256) Except Those who joins a group and Between Whom you 'there is a the treaty (of peace), or Those who approach you with hearts restraining Them from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. If God Had pleased, He Could Have Them given power over you, and they want would have fought you: Therefore If they want to withdraw from you but fight you not, and (instead) send you (guarantees of) peace, then the God hath opened no way for you (to war against Them). (4:90) How Can there be a league, before Allah and His Messenger, with the Pagans, except Those with Whom ye made a treaty near the sacred Mosque? These stand as long as true to you, stand ye true to Them: for Allah doth love the Righteous. (9:7) Muslim terrorists little wrong in interpreting this verses: O prophet! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be harsh against Them. Their abode is hell, and an evil destination it is. (9:73) And fight Them Until there's no slander (polytheism) and religion is wholly for Allah. (8:39) it only refers to the situation at that time of chaos and hostility. What's your opinion? and whether you will try to read entire Quran??

Maybe because the terrorists do it in the name of Islam. It doesn't matter whether or not the Quran condones it. If they're terrorists who are committing these acts in the name of Islam, they're Islamic terrorists.

well , I think all Muslims who have this question should ask their fellow not so nice Muslims why they do what they do because quite frankly all of us non Muslims are either puzzled or blown up decapitated and so on! so you are asking the wrong crowd my friend. I always wondered why those who are peaceful not kick some serious terrorist azz and make it stop. but it does say in the Koran that one Muslim should never hurt another,and while this is apparent about Muslims I wish they would leave the Muslim Women alone Go to the Ramadan site on Yahoo answers cause that is where the ones you need to ask hang out EDIT: to the Girl below me,you have a right to your opinion and I respect that,but how is it our fault that we see over 15000 terror attacks since 9/11? is that our fault? what do we have to do with that? should you not ask your own kind why they are doing what they are doing?

Its because people misunderstand Islam. People don't want to see the truth of it and choose to follow those who have false information about Islam. Some people will never understand.
