1. it is true that primary school students can choose their favourite subjects ? so, not all subjects you must study ? if it's true, you're so lucky..in my country, we must study all subjects... 2. what is your favourite subject ? Thanks for your participation answering my question I only heard from my teacher about school in western countries, so I get curious :D :D oh, last question which one is right ? primary school or elementary school ?

No primary students do not get to choose what they study. I am no longer in school so do not have a favorite subject. It can be either primary or elementary school, they mean the same thing.

Primary students would be from Kindergarten (age 5) to 5th grade. No they do not get to pick any subjects in school. We would call it elementary school, not primary. Some middle school students (grades 6-8th) may have the option of some elective classes-like music or art. High school students have some options. There are required classes to take to graduate and to take for college. those are 4 yrs of english, 3 yrs of science, 3 yrs of math, 2/3 yrs of a foreign language, 2 yrs of history. Some classes my daughter choose to take were, orchestra, calculus, physics, forensics, psychology, german, and speech

If by primary school you're referring to up to about thirteen/fourteen years of age, that's not true actually. However, I'm guessing you mean grades nine through twelve (ages fourteen through eighteen). It varies from school to school as well as what state you're in, but I'll use my school as a general example because I think that's probably around the average. Where I attend school, in ninth grade you can choose your elective (music, art, or technology), and after you take the general course, throughout the next three years you can take related classes (for example, art could lead to taking drawing or photography class, music to a higher music course, or technology to woodworking). You can also choose to take classes like psychology, and I think in twelfth grade you don't have to take math or something like that. In eleventh and twelfth grades, the specific class is not required, but you have to take a science class for example. However, some people will take physics, while others choose forensic science. My favorite classes are probably AP World History, Spanish, and English. Generally in the US, we say elementary school for kindergarten through fifth grade (ages five to eleven), junior high or middle school for grades six through eight (ages eleven through fourteen), and high school (ages fourteen through eighteen), but I think in some areas they might say primary and secondary school. I hope that wasn't too confusing, and that it helped! :)

I am a US citizen born in California and have been living in New York for the past five years. my sister is coming to NY with a student visa this summer from Indonesia.how can i petition them? is there a website i can go to that can guide me through the process? do i have to be 21 (I'm 20 atm)? and can i petition her while she is finishing high school in the US? whats the difference between sponsoring someone and petitioning someone

I'm considering to convert to Judaism since 2 years ago, and it seems like kind of difficult to found some links that could help me to do it. I'm also planned to make an Aliyah if my conversion process done, but once again I got obstacles to got any consultation about it. I'm Indonesian citizen and the Jewish community in here were act so clandestine and exclusive which made me hard to found any information. I want to perform it in Israel so that my conversions will be recognized by the Bet Din of Israel. I'm a first year university student and planned to perform conversions before graduate and perform Aliyah after graduate. What should I do first before take an action?

His name is Yaakov Baruch or Tauro Palilingan who lives in Manado on the island of North Sulawesi. He has learned with Rabbi Mordechai Abergel in Singapore. You might try looking up Yaakov Baruch or . contacting Mishpacha Magazine and ask if they can put you in contact with him. I found this Jewish website that might be helpful - http://www.halakhicconversion.org. - they are based in the U.S. but they have relevant information and perhaps you can contact them for further guidance. There have been documents from Obama's childhood school records that he was trained in Islam and that he was indeed a Muslim student. An author,worldnetdaily journalist Jerome R. Corsi, wrote a book called "The Obama Nation" in which he discusses the school registration of Obama as an Indonesian citizen and a Muslim student (pages 50-52) On pages 59-60, a former teacher stated that Obama had registered as a muslim and studied " mengaji" or recitation of the Quran, which is something that non-Muslims just don't do. Would anyone care to explain why Obama has never referred to this? And do we really want a "resident" with these dubious credentials? Jamie, Utopia and MO, you are fools of the highest order. Silly children playing with guns, so to speak. Muslims have a duty to uphold and defend the Quran, against all others, and the (p)resident has a duty to uphold the nation, blah, blah. Wow, that is really intolerant of you. The Quran is the Muslim equivalent of the Bible. As a Jew, I have read the Bible (including new testament), but that does not make me Christian, it just makes me more informed. I wish I had read the Quran to give me more perspective on the religion of Islam since it is something that so many people in this world believe in. It is certainly one of the top 5 most influential pieces of literature of all time, so don't you feel as though it might be worth reading? I have no idea if Obama has read it, but I would imagine it would only add to his credentials...

You sound just like the people who were taken in by the Red Scare of the 1950s. You were told by your leaders to fear certain groups. You were told that they were un-American and evil but you didn't know why. You just knew they were that way because that's what you were told. At that time, Muslims were perfectly fine with Americans. It was communists who weren't. In the past, politicians have also used immigrants, Native Americans, and non-whites as ways to generate fear of them and to generate public support for policies against them. Right now, it's the Muslims who are the whipping boys. In another 20 to 30 years, it will be another group entirely. It will be interesting to see which one it will be. Lawrence, the British Army officer more commonly known as "Lawrence of Arabia," committed the Koran to memory, yet he was not himself a Muslim. Finally, why would Obama's knowledge of Islam, at whatever level that might exist, constitute "dubious credentials?" I am not being disingenuous here; I truly do not see why that would be a problem. You have made the assertion, now back it up with arguments I would not put too much stock in Corsi's book, if I were you, even if it does apparently reinforce your preconceived notions. His supposedly "well-documented" book is full of distortions and errors (I stop short of calling them "lies," since I think Corsi himself probably believes them). If you look at his footnotes, the majority refer to other works by Corsi himself, a practice which is generally not considered to be academically sound. Overall it is a hack job, a worthy successor to his equally falacious book about John Kerry.

Well, according to research and investigation by TIME magazine, Obama was studying in catholic school in Indonesia. I went to catholic school and believe me, they don't teach us mengaji at catholic school. Furthermore, in the years when Obama was in Indonesia, Indonesia was not like Indonesia nowadays. Muslim fundamentalist were mushrooming in Indonesia especially after 9/11 incident and Iraq attacks. Perhaps you should read the article yourself and please find more sources before any conclusion. There have been documents from Obama's childhood school records that he was trained in Islam and that he was indeed a Muslim student. An author,worldnetdaily journalist Jerome R. Corsi, wrote a book called "The Obama Nation" in which he discusses the school registration of Obama as an Indonesian citizen and a Muslim student (pages 50-52) On pages 59-60, a former teacher stated that Obama had registered as a muslim and studied " mengaji" or recitation of the Quran, which is something that non-Muslims just don't do. Wow, that is really intolerant of you. The Quran is the Muslim equivalent of the Bible. As a Jew, I have read the Bible (including new testament), but that does not make me Christian, it just makes me more informed. I wish I had read the Quran to give me more perspective on the religion of Islam since it is something that so many people in this world believe in. It is certainly one of the top 5 most influential pieces of literature of all time, so don't you feel as though it might be worth reading? I have no idea if Obama has read it, but I would imagine it would only add to his credentials...

Lots of people have read the Koran you know among other books, I did hear and item on radio here in Ireland about this Cols chap, seems he never was in Malaysia found out these things on the internet and has no proof that the person he says was a former teacher was a teacher never mind was in Malaysia.

You sound just like the people who were taken in by the Red Scare of the 1950s. You were told by your leaders to fear certain groups. You were told that they were un-American and evil but you didn't know why. You just knew they were that way because that's what you were told. At that time, Muslims were perfectly fine with Americans. It was communists who weren't.
