How do medical students learn surgery in islamic countries where all dead muslims must be buried within 1 day?
I heard there's a rule in Islam that a dead muslim must be buried within one day. Then, my question is, how could medical students in islamic country (e.g. Iran, Turkey, Indonesia) learn about surgery without a corpse (all buried according to islamic tradition)? Please, don't insult Islam here. That's not my purpose for starting this topic.

Not everyone in an Islamic country is a Muslim you know. There are plenty of people of other faiths in those countries as well. I would imagine besides sending them (potential doctors, not cadavers) elsewhere to study, those cadavers that were donated to science would be assumed to NOT be Muslim - otherwise they wouldn't have been donated to science, they would have been buried by the family.

I'm a student in the faculty of medicine in Egypt . Here, there are people who donate their bodies for science as it is a necessary thing . and it's allowed for people to do that because studying medicine is a critical thing for saving lives . and as said in Qura'n (and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people )

Hello guys! I'm abit have a short-idea.... Actually I'm still wondering how to get a survey effectively. Especially the target are international students who got studied in West Java. But I'm abit afraid, because few things; 1) I don't know how many students available there 2) I heard to get the access of students data (numbers & so on) we need to pay to the officer 3) I don't know how many campus that is currently taking international students (with high rate). Don't you know West Java? It's in Indonesia. hope I could get a bit of shade.

i think that because the cultures are different and they have different beliefs they dont agree with eachother so this causes conflict, look at the american west gold mining all of the people moving their to get the gold had conflict because they didnt like eachothers cultures. they could solve the cultural problems by coming to some sort of agreement, compromising their beliefs or just staying out of eachothers way. hope i helped

This is mainly due to the fact that general assumptions and values of the foreign country and the individual will be different. This is why this person will not be able to explain to himself/herself the attitude of his surrounding environment and to adopt his own attitude to the values and lifestyle of the foreign culture. A culture shock depends on the situation and varies widely.

I have a 2130 SAT score, I'm the second decile, I have four varsity letters, I'm an officer in two clubs, I've been an honors student for my whole life, I'm taking five AP classes for senior year, I'm organizing a pen pal system between my church and a very poor orphanage in Indonesia, I have hundreds of hours of community service, and I'm a National Merit Finalist. Are my chances of getting in decent at least?
