Why Obama went to Muslim school in Indonesia?
I think so far he is the best candidate for US president, but why he went to muslim school. I knew that Indonesia is the largest muslim country, but the school he was in, was "madrasah" school. It was exacly muslim school. There is a lot schools in Indonesia that most students are muslim, but "madrasah" is special for muslim students. The teachers are more radical. Is anybody ever research and talk to christian people in Indonesia about this school?. I don't want to spread issue but I knew how crazy those radical Muslim againts Christian.

Because he was in Indonesia. FYI, Madrasah is the Arabic word for any type of school, secular or religious (of any religion).

It has been proven that the school he went to was not a Muslim school. He traveled to indonesia with his mother and step father. The school was not a madrasah.

maybe cause his dad is muslim. my dad is jewish and made me go to hebrew school, but im not a Jew. I think that he did not go to a radical school though. That was republican propaganda.

It seems like his parents wanted to expose him to different things. He as what, 6? when he went to that school for a year or so. He also went to Catholic school over there.

You'd be surprised how many people think that just because Obama is black that they have to come up with all kinds of foolishness because they don't want him to be elected. Unfortunately there are many people who just don't like him for that reason, and they are Christan.

Madrassa literally means "school". That's it. It has no other inherent meaning. It can be a grade school a high school a college a university, etc. It's has been used incorrectly by many people in this country to mean a school that teaches radical Islam and teaches kids to hate America and Israel. The people who use it incorrectly are simply perpetuating ignorance.
