I thought I heard a story on the radio last night about student riots in Indonesia, did they happen?
I thought I heard that students had rioted because the government was spending a few million dollars on new cars for bureaucrats, but I might have mis-heard. I did a few searches and couldn't find any articles on it, but if someone could send me a link to an article on that story, I'd appreciate it.

The riots did not happen in Indonesia but in Dili the capital city of East Timor, which became independent of Indonesia some years ago. A poor country with plenty of resources, the riots were by students who were protesting against the government who was giving itself and cronies brand new cars. Corruption among those at the top, especially Gusmao and his clique are widely known and shameless. This country badly needs a shake-up and a clean out.
